MOM HAIKUS
This series of miniature collages was sparked by the abrupt ending of a long-term romantic relationship. Because the pain, shock, and sadness of this loss was too much to process at the time, channeling the grief from the loss of my mother who passed away in 2017 felt much more accessible during the creation process. This body of work, cloaked in Mom grief, is a mask for the pain of romantic loss and heartbreak, too delicate to express.
